Sharon asks…

Is online gambling allowed in India? Can I be prosecuted if I play on internet gambling sites using my credit ?

Has anyone here, played on internet gambling sites from India?

Author answers:

I think it is open question to debate. I have seen some people from India gamble online, but I think it is partially illegal. However if the site let you deposite then its their fault.

for best sites.

Steven asks…

How do people transfer money to their account on those Internet gambling sites?

I have heard credit card companies will not allow them to be used at sites like BODOGLIFE.COM, COVERS.COM, BETUS.COM, BOOKMAKER.COM.

Author answers:

You’ll get a variety of answers. I’ll just say that there are many existing services that act as intermediaries. You can deposit to an account with services like Money Bookers, Neteller, and many others. Then you transfer from those services to your account. Getting money into the services themselves can be done by various methods, including bank wire transfers.

An apparently popular method nowadays is to use prepaid visa cards, which you purchase with a certain amount on them. Many bank issued credit cards will reject payment to any known gambling sites, but the prepaid cards which are not registered to a bank account holder will authorize charges to the same sites.

Look for something called the “Visa All Access Gift Card.”
